Stone Operations
We Built This to Solve
a Problem We Lived Ourselves.
Stone Operations exists because operational complexity inside growing businesses is a real and solvable problem — and because the founders inside those businesses deserve more than a strategy deck and a wave goodbye.
The Origin
Built From the Inside Out
Stone Operations didn't start as a brand. It started as a necessity.
As an Army spouse, building a business that could move with us wasn't optional — it was the only path forward. Every relocation meant rebuilding relationships, repositioning, and finding a way to keep delivering for clients across time zones and circumstances. What looked like instability from the outside became the foundation of something more important: a business built on structure, not location. On systems, not presence.
Over 15+ years working inside operations across multiple industries, the same pattern kept appearing. Businesses generating real revenue, with real teams, running on infrastructure that was never designed to hold what they had built. The founder was still the center of everything. And the business could only grow as fast as one person could hold it together.
"I had been the person holding everything together. I knew what it cost — and I knew it didn't have to work that way."
— Michelle Stone, Founder
That experience — of being the operational center, of watching founders burn out doing work their business should have been built to handle — is what Stone Operations was created to address. Not with more tools or another framework to implement alone. But with real operational leadership and a team behind it to execute.
The Strategist
Michelle Stone
Michelle is a DOO Certified Operations Strategist who steps into established service businesses as a Fractional Director of Operations. She does not hand over a plan and leave. She leads — assessing the full operational picture, setting priorities, and directing a specialist team through execution until the business is genuinely running differently.
Her background spans operations, HR, project management, and systems design across more than 10 industries and 8 countries of client work. She has spent her career inside businesses at the exact inflection point where growth creates more weight than momentum — and building the infrastructure that changes that.
As a wife, mother of five, and Army spouse, Michelle has built her business the same way she runs her life — with intention, long-term thinking, and a structure that holds regardless of what changes around it.
How We Work
What You Can Expect From Every Engagement
These are not values written for a wall. They are the operating principles behind every client engagement, every team interaction, and every decision we make.
Strategy Before Build
Nothing is built before we understand what actually needs to be built. Every engagement begins with a full diagnostic — because the wrong structure, built fast, creates more problems than it solves.
Execution Is Not Optional
Michelle leads the strategy. The team executes it. Clients are not handed a plan and left to implement it alone. The work gets done — by people who own it, with leadership behind them.
Built to Last, Not to Impress
We build structure your team can actually maintain — not elaborate systems that only work while we're in the room. Simplicity is a feature, not a compromise.
The Founder Leads
Our job is not to replace your judgment — it is to build the infrastructure that protects it. Every decision is made with you, not for you.
Calm Over Urgency
Operational crises are usually structural problems in disguise. We work steadily, prioritize thoughtfully, and build in a way that reduces the frequency of fires rather than getting faster at putting them out.
Family-First by Design
This business was built around life — not in spite of it. The businesses we build for clients should work the same way. Structure that supports growth without requiring the founder to sacrifice everything else.
The Team
The People Behind the Work
Michelle leads every engagement at the strategic level. Behind her is a trusted team of specialists who handle implementation — so clients receive both the senior operational thinking and the execution to match it.
Operations
Workflow design, process documentation, and operational structure built to support your team and scale with your business.
Marketing
Marketing coordination, campaign support, and content execution — so visibility stays consistent without adding to your plate.
Systems & Tech
Platform setup, automation, and tool integration — the technical backbone that connects everything and reduces manual work.
Client Support
Client communication, onboarding coordination, and delivery support — so your client experience is consistent across every offer.
Content & Design
Visual content, brand-aligned assets, and design support — so execution never stalls waiting for something to look right.
"You don't get Michelle handing off to a team you've never met. You get Michelle leading a team that operates as one unit — with full visibility into your business and a shared understanding of what needs to be built."
The Stone Operations StandardBuilt to Move
Why an Army Spouse Builds Differently
When your business has to survive relocation after relocation, you learn quickly what actually matters. Not the tools. Not the office. Not the local network you just spent two years building.
What survives is structure. Documented processes. Systems that don't depend on a specific person being in a specific place. A team that knows what to do without being told every time.
Stone Operations was built on that foundation — and it is the same foundation we build for every client. Not because it looks good on paper, but because we have lived what happens when a business doesn't have it.
